Privacy Policy

BillLoom: Invoice Maker (“BillLoom,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information and device permissions are handled when you use the App.

1. Information entered into the App

BillLoom allows users to enter information required to create and manage invoices, including:

  • Business name, address, phone number, and email address
  • Business logo, website, GSTIN, and PAN
  • Customer name, address, phone number, email, and GSTIN
  • Product or service information
  • Invoice date and due date
  • Quantity, rate, discounts, and payment status
  • Notes, terms, conditions, and signatures
  • Generated invoice documents and PDF files

This information is voluntarily entered by the user for invoice creation and management.

2. Local storage

Business information, customer details, product information, and invoice records may be stored locally on the user’s device.

BillLoom does not upload this information to a developer-operated server unless a future version of the App clearly informs users otherwise.

Local information may remain on the device until the user deletes it, clears the App’s storage, or uninstalls the App.

3. Camera permission

BillLoom may request access to the device camera.

The camera may be used to:

  • Capture a business logo
  • Capture an authorized signature
  • Add an image selected by the user to an invoice

The camera is activated only when the user chooses a feature that requires it.

BillLoom does not use the camera in the background and does not continuously record photos or videos.

Photos captured through the camera are used only for the feature selected by the user and may be stored locally on the device.

4. Photos and image access

On supported Android versions, BillLoom may request permission to access images stored on the device.

This access may be used to:

  • Select a business logo
  • Select a signature image
  • Add an image to an invoice
  • Display previously selected images inside the App

BillLoom accesses images only when the user selects or permits them.

The App does not intentionally scan, upload, sell, or share the user’s complete photo library.

Photos and images are considered personal and sensitive user data under Google Play policies, so this access must also be accurately declared in the Play Console Data safety section.

5. Storage permission

On older Android devices, BillLoom may request permission to read from or write to shared device storage.

These permissions may be used to:

  • Read a logo or signature selected by the user
  • Generate invoice PDF files
  • Save invoice PDF files to the device
  • Open previously generated invoice files
  • Allow the user to share invoice documents

The following legacy permissions may apply depending on the Android version:

  • READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE for reading selected files on Android 12 and earlier
  • WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE for saving files on Android 9 and earlier

These permissions are limited by Android version through maxSdkVersion.

On newer Android versions, Android provides more restricted storage mechanisms, and apps generally do not need broad storage permission to access files they create themselves.

6. PDF creation, saving, and sharing

BillLoom creates invoices as PDF documents.

PDF files may include:

  • Business information
  • Customer information
  • Product or service information
  • Invoice totals and payment status
  • Logos
  • Signatures
  • Notes, terms, and conditions

Generated PDFs may be stored locally on the device.

When the user chooses to share a PDF, it may be sent through another application selected by the user, such as:

  • Email applications
  • Messaging applications
  • Cloud-storage applications
  • File-sharing applications

BillLoom does not control how third-party applications process information shared by the user. Their own privacy policies apply.

7. Permission controls

Users may allow or deny Camera, Photos, Media, or Storage permissions through Android’s permission settings.

Users may also revoke previously granted permissions at any time through:

Android Settings → Apps → BillLoom → Permissions

Some features may not function correctly when a required permission is denied.

Permissions are requested only when required for a related feature.

8. Information we do not intentionally collect

BillLoom does not intentionally collect or sell:

  • Precise location
  • Contacts
  • SMS messages
  • Call logs
  • Passwords
  • Banking credentials
  • Credit-card or debit-card details
  • Biometric information
  • Microphone recordings
  • Video recordings
  • Complete photo-library contents

BillLoom does not sell personal information.

9. Data sharing

BillLoom does not intentionally share locally stored invoice information with third parties.

Information may leave the user’s device only when:

  • The user chooses to share an invoice
  • The user saves a document using another application
  • The user selects an external cloud or storage provider
  • A third-party SDK included in the App processes technical data
  • Disclosure is required by law

Any analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, cloud, or third-party SDK used by the App must also be disclosed in this Privacy Policy and in the Google Play Data safety form. Google Play requires developers to disclose data practices performed both by the App and by included third-party libraries.

10. Data security

We use reasonable measures to help protect information handled by BillLoom.

However, no mobile device, storage system, or electronic transmission method is completely secure.

Users are responsible for:

  • Protecting access to their device
  • Reviewing invoice information before saving
  • Reviewing invoice information before sharing
  • Selecting trusted applications when sharing files

11. Data retention and deletion

Information stored locally remains on the device until the user:

  • Deletes the invoice through the App, where supported
  • Deletes saved PDF files
  • Clears the App’s storage
  • Removes selected images
  • Uninstalls the App

BillLoom currently does not require users to create an online account. Therefore, there is no server-hosted account to delete.

12. Children’s privacy

BillLoom is intended for business and productivity use and is not specifically designed for children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us.

13. Legal disclaimer

BillLoom is an invoice-creation and document-generation tool.

It does not provide legal, accounting, financial, or taxation advice.

Users are responsible for ensuring their invoices and business information comply with applicable laws and requirements.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when:

  • App features change
  • Permissions change
  • Data-handling practices change
  • Legal or Google Play requirements change

The latest version will include an updated effective date.
